The feature-rich enhancements found on the latest 1911 additions to the Kimber family include a loaded chamber indicator at the top of the slide to the rear of the chamber. When loaded this small metal bar is visible in the up position. Plus, this 1911 features a magazine disconnect, which prevents the firearm from firing unless a magazine is loaded. These enhancements help provide firearms to states where traditional features are not available.
These selected states require these attributes that deliver an additional layer of security. Function and accuracy are unaffected, and the Kimber Limited Lifetime Warranty still covers these enhancements.
